The Mutus Liber is called the Silent Book because it features no words beyond the title page. Instead the Great Work is explicated through a series of visual motifs showing the inner and outer aspects of the alchemical opus.
This edition of the Mutus Liber was printed on the occassion of the Hermetic Theatre alchemical colloquium at Mortlake and Company.
