Scissor Temple Summonings: An Anthology Ov Analog Collage & Mixed Media by Hannah Haddix
Hannah Haddix is an Arizona-born, Seattle-based, multidisciplinary artist & world traveler. Relinquishing a Rhodes Scholarship, she dropped out ov NYC's School ov Visual Arts when Genesis P-Orridge asked her to go on a 2 month Russian & European tour with Psychic Tv in 2007. Hannah lived in The Gates Institute with the Breyer P-Orridges and was heavily influenced and inspired by the Arte, Magick & Mentorship within the art cult commune. Adopting Brion Gysin & William Burroughs' cut-up method, she discovered the transcendental utility ov communicating with her subconscious self through collage work used in ritual context. Haddix explored a stint ov naked, chaotic, fluid-drenched ritual performance art, during which she dirtied the stages ov The Rubin Museum in Manhattan, Museum ov Contemporary Art in Tucson & Lethal Amounts in Los Angeles.
